| 1. Everyone has the right to be free and whatever you want as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else.
2. No one can hurt another person unless it's self defense.
3. No one can take another's possesstions
4. Everyone is equal and has exactly the same rights. Freak or Normal.
5. Anyone who commits a crime,stealing or hurting someone, will be accused and tried by a jury of six kids.
6. Lying to the jury is a crime.
7. Penalties can be anything from a fine to getting locked up in a jail or a period of a month or more to permanent exile from Perdido Beach.
8. A new council is elected every month, but these nine rules CANNOT change.
9. Everyone has to live by these laws. Normal or Freak. Regular citizen or member of the council. Except i n the event of an emergency. the council will have the right to suspend all other rules for a period of 24 hours if there's a major emergency. In that case the council can appoint a person or several people to act as Town Defenders. | |
